| CREATING & BUILDING

You have the idea. Let’s make the thing.

Sometimes you do not need another recommendation.

You need someone who can help turn an idea, need, strategy, or pile of half-finished materials into something real.

Creating & Building engagements combine strategy, design, writing, systems thinking, educational practice, technology, and hands-on production.

Depending on the project, I can build something for you, build it with you, redesign something that already exists, or create the structure that lets your team finish it.

I am not positioning myself as a custom software engineering firm.

My strength is creating digital experiences where content, structure, learning, accessibility, people, and purpose all have to work together.

A short conversation about what you’re working on, what you need, and whether I might be the right person to help.

Three ways we can build

Build It for Me

You provide the context, goals, materials, and feedback. I take primary responsibility for creating the agreed-upon deliverable.

Build It With Me

We work collaboratively through working sessions and shared materials. You stay close to the work while I provide structure, design, expertise, and additional production capacity.

Help Me Build It

You want to own the creation process but need strategy, templates, feedback, troubleshooting, or guidance along the way. That may ultimately be coaching, consulting, or a hybrid engagement.

Project Pricing

Creation and development work starts at $150/hour. For projects that require multiple hours of collaboration, research, development, or creation, you can purchase a Project Block, a prepaid block of professional time dedicated to your project. Larger blocks may be offered at a reduced hourly rate.

Project Block hours cover all of the time I spend working on your project, whether we’re working together or I’m working behind the scenes.

That means the same pool of hours can be used for:

  • Live virtual meetings and working sessions

  • Research and preparation

  • Writing, editing, and content development

  • Curriculum, resource, or program development

  • Design and creation

  • Review, feedback, and revisions

  • Asynchronous collaboration

  • Planning, problem-solving, and implementation

For example, a 10-hour Project Block might include 2 hours of virtual working sessions and 8 hours of asynchronous research, development, and creation. Another project might need 5 hours together and 5 hours behind the scenes. There isn’t a separate meeting fee. It all comes from the same block of project time.

Before we begin, we’ll identify your goals, anticipated scope, and the Project Block that makes the most sense. I’ll track time against your block and keep you informed as we go.

If we’re approaching the end of your purchased hours, we’ll decide together what makes sense next. I won’t exceed your Project Block or add additional billable time without your approval.

Project Blocks purchase time and expertise rather than a rigid set of deliverables. We’ll begin with a clear plan for what we’re working toward, while leaving enough flexibility to adjust how we use our time as the project develops.

Not sure how much time you need?

Show me what you have. Tell me what you’re trying to make.

I’ll consider what already exists, what needs to be created, how polished or complete it needs to be, and what role you want me to play.

When possible, I’ll identify a minimum viable scope: the smallest investment I believe could produce something genuinely useful.
