One rate. Clear expectations.

 

My standard professional rate across The Open Practice Academy is: $150/hour

That applies to both live and asynchronous professional work.

Depending on the engagement, that may include:

  • Meetings

  • Coaching

  • Facilitation

  • Research

  • Review

  • Analysis

  • Planning

  • Writing

  • Design

  • Development

  • Building

  • Documentation

  • Administrative or technical implementation

  • Preparation

 

Before substantive work begins, we agree on the scope and expected investment.

 

I do not want you wondering whether an email cost $17.50 or whether opening a document started a timer. The goal is transparency without making the relationship transactional at every moment.

 

For projects, we can agree on a set number of hours or a project block in advance.

Reduced-Fee & Pro Bono Work

I also believe access matters. I reserve a limited portion of my capacity for reduced-fee and pro bono work. That might include individuals, small organizations, educators, community projects, emerging practitioners, or others whose resources do not reflect the value or importance of the work they are trying to do.

 

You do not need to submit financial records or prove that you are struggling enough to ask. My capacity for reduced-fee work is limited, so I cannot accept every request.

 

When full pro bono or discounted work is not possible, we may be able to reduce the scope, identify a smaller starting point, use a group format, or find another approach that makes the work more accessible.

 

If the standard rate is not feasible, you can simply say so on the intake form.
