Why a Not-A-Newsletter?
In my previous roles, I often had to communicate with a lot of people at once. Somewhere along the way, that became one of my favorite parts of the work.
I loved crafting emails people might actually want to open: curating useful things, sharing what was timely, explaining something that mattered, slipping in something fun, and giving people a reason to think or try something new. I miss doing that.
The TOPA Not-A-Newsletter is my way of bringing that practice here. It’s called a Not-A-Newsletter because I don’t want to send you a dry roundup of updates and announcements. Each month is built around one question worth spending some time with, with ideas, resources, practical things to try, opportunities to participate, and a little room to wander.
Something worth opening, not something else to clear from your inbox.
Once a month, I’ll start with one question I can’t stop thinking about and see where it takes us: a little writing, something useful, something interactive, Huh. That’s a System., things worth reading or keeping, and probably something weird I hid somewhere for no defensible reason.
